Curriculum

Our daily schedule is designed to meet the needs of each child at each stage of development.  Nondenominational, Christian values are promoted through songs, Bible stories and meal time prayer. A structured program is provided each day of the week for full time toddlers through pre-kindergarten age children. Opportunities for free play and outdoor activities are offered daily. In order to enrich your child's experience in our center, we have added instruction in Sign Language, Gymnastics/Dance and Music along with our other basic classroom instruction.

Health Policy

A health and physical exam is required by law for each child.  A child must be up to date with his or her immunizations and current records must be presented at time of enrollment.

Philosophy

New Life Christian Fellowship is pleased to offer quality childcare services as part of its ministry in and around the Grand Blanc Area.  Your child will be cared for in a physically and emotionally safe environment that is designed to meet the needs of the whole child.  Our example is Christ's love, patience and kindness towards children.  Our center provides a warm and nurturing environment to enrich social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development.

Meals

Parents are expected to provide formula and baby foods for infants and toddlers who are too young for table food.  Older children are also expected to bring their own lunch from home.  The center will provide two nutritious snacks daily and breakfast will be served for children arriving before 7:45 a.m.

General Information 

The childcare center is open to children from 6 weeks old through pre-kindergarten.  For children attending Reid Elementary in Grand Blanc, we offer a before and after school program.  During the summer months we offer Camp Yahweh to children in kindergarten thru 12 years old.

Hours of Operation

The center is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, year round except for major holidays and the week between Christmas and New years.

Staff

New Life Childcare & Preschool is supervised by the Church's appointed Board of Managers.  The Director, Jennifer Reid, has years of experience as a teacher and charter school administrator.  Jennifer has earned her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Curriculum Development.  Care givers and teachers employed by New Life Childcare and Preschool receive ongoing training in early childhood education.  A staff member with CPR and First Aid Training is on duty at all times.  We maintain a caregiver to child ratio of 1 adult to 4 children ages infant-2 1/2, 1 adult for 8 children ages 2 1/2 years old - 3, 1 adult to 10 or 12 children in preschool (depending on their ages) and 1 adult to 18 children kindergarten to 5th grade.

Financial Policy

A non-refundable $45.00 registration fee is required per family at time of enrollment.  Payment for services is expected the Friday before services are rendered.  Two-weeks behind in payments will result in a pause in care.
